Magneto-optical (MO) effect by spin-transfer switching and the optical modulation attract a lot of attention for the developments and applications. The fast modulation of optical polarization through the MO effect is driven by a pulse current without an external magnetic field. Therefore, it is expected that a realization of the OM device array with high resolution, which enable it to be used for spatial light modulator. In the present study, fundamental characterizations for the polarization diffraction from a MO material array are carried out. The experimental results are well explained by a theoretical approach based on diffraction theory. This result indicates that the MO device array has a potential for an application field of computer generated holography. |
