Proposal of Starter Sentences Mining Method to Create Example Sentence for Medical Field Using Web Search Engine

(in English) Recently, the number of foreign residents in Japan is increasing. Consequently, the opportunity of communication among people whose native language are different increases. When people communicate with each other,
the difference of the language is a huge barrier. Moreover, it is important to communicate reliably in the medical field. Therefore, such multilingual communication support systems often use parallel texts. Collecting parallel texts by people have the advantage that people can create parallel texts needed by medical field. However, it is difficult for people to make a lot of various example sentences. In this study, we propose mining starter sentences method to create example sentences for medical field using Web search engine. The contributions of this paper are the following results: (1) We showed this method can mine "example sentences using without repair" at a rate of about 26% and can mine "example sentences using for starter sentences in medical field" at a rate of about 91% from Web. (2) We showed this method can mine example sentences that people may not come up with.
