Light-emitting properties of rare-earth-doped Ta2O5 thin films fabricated by using rf sputtering Kenta Miura, Yuki Arai, Osamu Hanaizumi (Gunma Univ.) OPE2011-143 |

Eu-doped Ta2O5 films were prepared by using rf magnetron sputtering. Visible photoluminescence was obtained from the films after annealing under excitation with a He-Cd laser (wavelength: 325 nm). Four peaks having wavelengths around 600, 620, 650 and 700 nm were observed from the films annealed at 600-900 degrees centigrade. The strongest intensity of the 620-nm peak was obtained from the film annealed at 700 degrees centigrade for 20 min. |
