| 抄録 | （和） | デジタル移動通信技術の進展経過について、著者の経験と見解を通して回想する。新しい技術の誕生の背景、これらが実用化されてからのシステムの変化、さらにはサービスならびにビジネス環境の変化にもふれる。具体的には、線形変調方式、GSMおよびCDMAシステム等の登場の経緯について述べる。当時はまだ開発途上国であった国における携帯電話の登場による通信サービスの進展についても振り返る。携帯端末の普及とこれに伴う端末ならびにシステムを提供する会社の勃興と衰退についても考察してみたい。また、著者の４０年間以上にわたるこれまでの研究開発の体験を通して得た、技術者としての心構えなど、日頃感じたことを思いつくまま話をしたい。そこでは、問題の本質をいかに的確につかむか、そのためにはどのような姿勢が必要か、さらには技術開発や経営を行う上層部の優秀な人材の重要性や、彼らを育てるための組織風土についても私見を述べる。最後に、著者が本年度中に出版予定の著書、「デジタル移動通信のすべて」の内容を紹介し、改善点を含めて出席者から意見と要望を聞きたい。 |
| （英） | In this invited speech, the author tries to gives a short review on progress of digital mobile radio communications based on his experiences in more than 40 years. Backgrounds for newly appeared techniques, the change due to the new technologies in systems, mobile radio service and business is also touched. Specifically, evolution background and process of linear digital modulation, GSM and CDMA systems are included. The role of mobile portable radio for rapid progress in public telephone services in developing countries at that time will be mentioned. The rise and fall of vendor companies of terminals and systems are analyzed through author’s own thoughts. Furthermore author’s thoughts on what are important to do research and development will be expressed, where the speaker will state importance of finding in advance coming big problems, grasping essence of the problem, importance of top persons to lead R&D management, and required environments in companies, organizations and countries. Last, he will introduce his planning professional book, “All about Digital Mobile Communications”, and ask comments from floor to improve it. |
