Performance Evaluation of Cognitive Temporary Bypassing Method Considering Control Message Error

(in English) Cognitive Temporary Bypassing (CTB) scheme improves transmission reliability of wireless ad hoc networks. It autonomously creates temporary bypass links when a transmission error happens on a link. In this paper, we analyze the packet transmission success rate with this protocol considering control message error. In order to improve performance when two candidate bypass nodes exist for a link, a method that prioritizes bypass nodes in order to avoid collision between them is proposed. Another method of reducing the transmission rate of control messages is proposed to increase the reliability of control messages. The packet transmission success rates with these methods are evaluated and the proposed methods can provide higher communication reliability for several placements of bypass nodes.
