(in English) We investigate the effect of laser illumination on electron emission from nc-Si based Metal-oxide-semiconductor (MOS) cathodes. The emission current was enhanced about two orders of magnitude by irradiation. An increase of the emission current under the irradiation of laser light was proportional to the incident laser power. We have demonstrated a pulsed electron beam generation from the cathode device by the illumination of laser pulses. The optical properties of electron emission from the cathode are reported in detail.
