The thermoacoustic systems are expected as new system which considered global environment. However, they have disadvantage that the start temperature of a self oscillation (onset temperature ratio:OTR) is high. If OTR can be made small, these systems are expected to be used in wide range of temperature. In this report, we examined the effects of changing the full length and the inner diameter of a cylindrical tube on OTR. The straight-tube-type thermoacoustic engine with a stack which has 0.55 mm in pore radius and 50 mm in length was consisted. And, experiments were conducted by using the cylindrical tubes of 24 mm, 42.5 mm, and 95.6 mm in the inner diameter and changing five full lengths from 1200 mm to 3750 mm. In all inner diameters, the same tendency in distribution of each OTR was confirmed at the results of measurements. However, the values describing heat exchange which showed the minimum OTR in each inner diameter differed. The temperature ratio met oscillation condition was affected by the amount of loss in the whole system. |
