Employment Information Analysis Using Data Mining Techniques -- An Approach to Reducing the Mismatch between Companies and Students --

(in English) Ratio of job offers to job seekers for university graduates in the coming spring is estimated to be 1.27. Judging from this index, job-finding is not difficult for university graduates. However, according to a basic survey on schools taken recently by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, more than 20 percent of graduates from universities have not found steady employment.
This paper deals with an application of data mining techniques for analyzing employment information offered by companies. The mining techniques discussed in the paper include frequency of word occurrence and frequency of co-occurrence between words. The analyzed companies are divided into categories of information technology, architecture, machinery, electricity. The paper analyzes required competence for each type of industry and tries to clarify the difference in tendency.
