A Study on Multiple Breadcrumbs in Cache Networks

(in English) Content accesses to content server providing popular rich contents is now increasing rapidly, which leads to server overload. One of the promising ways to resolve this server overload is caching network. Breadcrumbs(BC) has been proposed for in-network guide information which enables usage of cache not on the default route to the server. In original BC, only the latest download direction is left as BC. However, other removed BC(s) might be useful for search for cached content. In this paper, we evaluate multiple Breadcrumbs which makes use of not only the latest BC but also slightly older BC's. Our simulation results show that multiple downloads triggered by multiple queries generated by multiple BC improves server load.
