Improvement of Tag Node Detection Rate Using Multi-Stage Arrangement of HSN Readers and Notice of Identified Tag Nodes in the Following Stage in Hybrid RFID Sensor Network

(in English) In order to collect more data by using cheap and longer operating life tag nodes, HSN(Hybrid rfid/Sensor Node) has been proposed, where the relay function of data is added to a reader which reads tag nodes.
However, when HSN uses ALOHA as a collision avoidance scheme, in the environment where a large number of tag nodes which carry out straight line movement to one way are detected, there is a problem which the detection rate of tag nodes reduces by the density change of tag nodes, or movement out of the communication range of HSN readers.
In this paper, in order to improve the detection rate of tag nodes in HSN, the tag node detection scheme using QT (Query Tree) and multi-stage arrangement of HSN readers on a plane at right angles to the moving direction of tag nodes is proposed.

Moreover, we propose the scheme which can detect tag nodes more effectively with a small number of stages of HSN readers by noticing of identified tag nodes ID in the following stage HSN readers.
By a computation simulation, it is shown that our proposed scheme can improve the detection rate of tag nodes, while keeping the number of stages of HSN readers small.
