Development of an assistive robot for medical care units

(in English) The support for elderly people in everyday life is becoming a very important issue now-days. Up to now, the main focus of developed assistive robots has been to assist elderly people. On the other hand, few robotic systems are proposed to support the caregivers. In this paper, we propose a new robot to assist the caregivers in elderly care homes. We present some preliminary results where the robot processes the sensor data to recognize and track the caregiver.
