The number of stroke patients in Japan is nearly 1.5 milion. Therefore, a large number of rehabilitation trainers are needed. In this paper, we propose a upper-limb rehabilitation robot, that can perform rehabilitation training in 2D plane. The robot is controlled by neural network that are evolved by genetic algorithms. The advantage of applying neural controllers is that a single neural controller can be applied to generate the robot motion in a wide area. |
