On the implement of recommending friends to Twitter users

(in English) The most important role of SNS like Twitter is to support communication between users. However, accounts of celebrity and company appear mostly in the current service of recommending users. These accounts may not helpful for motivating to build a new communication relationship with other users. Therefore, we considered a method to recommend the users who have similar preference and interest by processing user profile and tweet text on Twitter. We used morphological analysis to get terms from Japanese text. Also we calculated tfidf weight parameter and the cosine similarity to pick out users who have remarkable similarity each other. By using this method, we think that more new communication relationship can be built, which will enhances the social role of Twitter.
