In the mammalian spinal cord, a central pattern generator (CPG) is supposed to be as neural networks. The CPG is responsible for producing locomotor rhythms periodically, and the rhythm is propagated down to flexor and extensor of legs. So far, we have constructed a CPG circuit model from the mathematical one proposed by Rybak et al. . In this report, we try to reproduce quadrupedal gaits of animals using hardware CPG network model and do walking experiment using the robot. As a result of this experiment, we reproduced two typical gaits (trot and bound). |
