A Study on Autonomous Node Synchronization Scheme Based on Periodicity in Cyclic Prefix for Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access

(in English) This paper proposes a scheme of synchronization among nodes with the aid of periodicity in cyclic prefix (CP). When a machine to machine (M2M) networks is introduced in spectrum sharing among plural wireless links, high data throughput is not always mandatory, rather low latency is more prioritized to guarantee stability behavior of controlled objects. According to the background of M2M, it is more preferable to form ad-hock network by autonomous behavior. When several links share a common frequency resource, one link should not occupy wireless resources. Thus, this paper applies the non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) to share spectrum among links. In ad-hock network, each node needs to synchronize time among nodes autonomously. To synchronize, each node calculates correlations with the aid of periodicity in CP for the other node’s signal on the air. In this scenario, a primary challenge is to address a problem of frequency selective fading channels. Thus, to mitigate the impact of frequency selectivity, this paper proposes weight matrix, which is able to separate the impact of each path from multipath to calculate correlation of each path. Computer simulations confirm that proposed scheme is capable of synchronizing transmission time among nodes within a short time.
