Investigation of transmission characteristics of FDM-WDM multiplex system in OFDM radio signal on fiber

(in English) We examine the transfer characteristics of “Radio over fiber(RoF)” in which orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) Wi-Fi radio signals are transmitted over a fiber after being converted to optical signals. To analyze the effect of OFDM signal clipping and to optimize the transmission power, we analyze the transfer characteristics using error vector magnitude by experiment and simulation. Then, because we assume a PON access system, we analyze the transfer characteristics of a transmission pass using an 1 × 32 optical coupler. In addition, we propose an FDM–wavelength division multiplexing co-multiplex system as a multi-access system for mobile communications and analyze the transfer characteristics of this system by simulation. As a result, we show that the system at 10% modulation is capable of transmitting over a 20-km distance via a fiber in a 1 × 32 PON with nine channels.
