Recently, terahertz (THz) electromagnetic wave technology has been paid much attention and developed in a variety of research fields, such as information and communications technology (ICT), security, and bio-medical science. For practical application of THz wave, it is important to develop further effective THz wave emitters and detectors. As for the THz detector, there is the mainstream to use photoconductive antenna of low-temperature-grown GaAs (LT-GaAs). In the present study, we have fabricated LT-GaAs photoconductive dipole antennas with different electrode width and investigated its performance as a THz detector. |
