This paper presents DC power supply for plasma equipment, and has described three proposal. The first,a micro arc control function makes arc energy extremely small. By adoption of higher frequency, it became possible to make the constant of an output smoothing circuit small as much as possible, and arc energy has realized less than 0.3 mJ/kw. The second, the ignition voltage function can be arbitrarily settable the high voltage necessary for ignition of the plasma because the converter is including a boosting function. The third, the inverter adopted by the soft switching for reducing the high-frequency switching loss, in other word ZVS/ZCS function of the inverter circuit is realized by a LC resonant circuit with four switch elements. From the experimental result, 4.5 mJ/less than 15 kW of arc energy, generating of the ignition voltage 1600V, and 92% of the conversion efficiency of AC-DC were able to be acquired. |
