Virtual slide technology has advanced studies in digital pathology which is to calculate the quantitative indices using image processing. As the one of the indices, there are feature quantities of nuclei graph structures. In hepatic pathology, the one of the diagnostic indicators is thickness of trabecular structure in pathological image. Therefore, we had proposed an automatic measuring algorithm to calculate the numbers of cell layers of hepatic trabecula; however, it had required the high computational cost because it had used the thinning algorithm. In this research, we propose a high speed algorithm to calculate them using graph structure analysis. |
