| 抄録 | （和） | 翻訳の種々相および機械翻訳の利用法について 新田義彦／日本大学 情報交換が多言語でなされる現在、「翻訳」という事前処理が不可避のものとなっている。一方また人々の外国語運用能力も、洗練された教育により飛躍的に向上している。このような前進的かつ躍動的な状況を勘案したとき、翻訳および機械翻訳をどのように理解して、研究開発そして実利用すればよいのだろうか。 翻訳による意味の正確な伝達、翻訳不可能論、自然翻訳論、方向性を持つ翻訳、文法ベース翻訳（ＧＢMT）と統計ベース翻訳（ＳＢＭＴ）の対置、統計ベース翻訳（ＳＢＭＴ）、機械翻訳の活用法、などのトピックスについて、一研究者の素朴な直観を中心にお話しする。ＴＬ研究会の諸賢の議論の叩き台を提供できれば幸甚である。 |
| （英） | Various Aspects of Translation and a Practical Usage of Machine Yoshihiko Nitta／Nihon University In the Present world various information is exchanged in many languages. As a natural result of it, we must use the information processing via translation. Of course the majority of the business persons are acquiring the highly polished many-language proficiency. Considering such a lively situation, how should we understand translation and utilize machine translation? In this brief paper, I would like to present my naïve intuition on semantics of sentence and text, exact translation, accurate information transfer by translation, impossibility of translation, natural translation, grammar-based machine translation, statistics-based machine translation, practical usage of machine translation. Hopefully my today’s talk could give some clues for the attendee of TL research conference to inquire into “human translation and machine translation”. |
