Fabrication and characterization of n-type carbon nanotube thin film transistors on plastic film

(in English) We realized high mobility n-type carbon nanotube thin-film transistors on a plastic film using the transfer process and chemical doping technique with polyethyleneimine (PEI). The effect of ambient air on the device instability was studied. The results show that a combination of water and oxygen predominantly causes the instability, suggesting that a water/oxygen redox reaction is responsible for the instability. In addition, the water caused the gate leakage current through the PEI. Surface passivation with Al_2O_3 layer deposited by a low-temperature atomic layer deposition technique notably improved the stability of the device properties in ambient air.
