It is difficult for above-elbow amputees to restore their lost functions because they have a few remaining muscles. A motion generation system which outputs desired posture of the prosthesis in accordance with current posture of the healthy arm using bimanual coordination has been proposed. In this article, in order to simulate two-handed tasks to lift up an object with the healthy arm and the prosthesis with the motion generation system, we developed a real-time motion simulator which has a capability to calculate contacts between objects such as the healthy arm and a tray. |
