We report fabrication of titanium oxide nanostructures from titanium thin films deposited by vacuum evaporation and their applications for photoelectrode of dye sensitized solar cells. Nano porous structures of titanium oxide having 100 nm diameters have been fabricated by anodic oxidation of titanium thin films on FTO/glass substrates. We also investigated sintering temperature and photoelectrode thickness dependence of device performance on dye sensitized solar cells having photoelectrode of titanium oxide nano porous structures. Effect of surface treatment using titanium chloride for the photoelectrode on solar cell performance is also reported. |
