Composite Right and Left Handed System for Long-Haul Electrified Roadway

(in English) This paper describes a problem of a long-haul electrified roadway and proposes a new electrified roadway structure exploiting left handed circuits.
A circuit simulation shows that input and output impedances vary due to movement of the vehicle (load) along a long-haul electrified roadway structure.
Then, we propose three types of electrified roadway structures to solve the problem.
We go detail on one of them, which is named {it cascade type CRLH (Composite Right and Left Handed) electrified roadway}.
Its electrode is divided into short segments connected through left handed circuits which exhibit a negative phase delay.
We show that input and output impedances shifts of the proposed structure is mitigated compared with that of conventional ones.
