A Sensitivity Calibration Method with Lower-Frequency Noise Estimation for Doppler Radar

(in English) When Doppler radar is used to detect heartbeats, respirations and walking speed, its sensitivity property in low frequency ( lower than 100Hz ) is very important. In generally, the Doppler radar circuit consists of many semiconductors which have thermal noises, shot noises, and so on. Because of their noises, a sensitivity of each radar is not the same. Therefore you need to estimate its noises and remove them.
This paper describes an approach to calibrate a sensitivity of the Doppler radar by an estimation noises in low frequency under the empty condition. The empty is determined by signal variations in the time domain and noises are estimated by LSM(Least squeres method) in log-scaled frequency domain. Finally, we will discuss an effect for uniformalizing the sensitivity of radars using the procedure.
