Structure and magnetic properties of (001) oriented CoPt-Ag and CoPd-Ag films

(in English) CoPt-Ag and CoPd-Ag alloy films were grown by MBE method,and their crystal structure,surface morphoology,and perpendicular magnetic anisotropy were investigated.(001) oriented CoPt film was obtained by directly deposited onto MgO(001) substrate at a temperature of 300˚C,while CoPd with (001) orientation was obtained by inserting Pd (10 nm) buffer layer between CoPd and MgO(001).In the case of CoPt,Ag addition around 5% promoted L10 ordering of CoPt which results in the enhancements of the coercivity. On the other hand,CoPd did not form L10 phase,and all the CoPd-Ag were in-plane magnetized films.
