In this paper, the self-luminous type Spatial Light Modulator (SLM) has been proposed. It reduces the recording system size by a light emitting function into SLM. As a basic study, thermo-magnetic recording by GaN-based Light-emitting Diode (LED) array has been investigated. In addition, recording by the LED was attempted for Amorphous Dysprosium Iron (a-DyFe) film. To compensate for energy of LED in thermomagnetic recording, a substrate heating and an external magnetic field were used as an assist recording technique. Consequently, the required energy for forming magnetic pixels was achieved, and the magnetic recording by LED was realized. |
