An Examination of Semantic Segmentation by Using Characteristics Information of Categories -- by Using Object Detection, Object Recognition and Foreground-Background Information --

(in English) The purpose of this study is to recognize the category of existing objects in an image per pixel. Candidate region of objects are extracted by using object detection. Then, each extracted region is recognized by object recognition. And finally fine regions of existing category are extracted by using GrabCut and comparison of fore-background histogram. In experiment, we used 6 categories (cow, sheep, bird, dog, cat and background making me) of Microsoft Research Cambridge 21 Dataset. As a result, performance was 56.7% in all categories in intersection over union metric.
