(in English) With Data-Driven Learning (DDL), learners observe lexical and grammatical patterns in concordance lines extracted from corpus. They discover language rules inductively with the assistance of the instructor. Although the effectiveness of DDL to enhance the accuracy of communication at the junior high school level has been shown, one problem has been finding level-appropriate corpora. To address this, the recently released corpus, Sentence Corpus of Remedial English (SCoRE), was used as a basis for the creation of DDL material and instruction. In this study, we will discuss the possibility of the application of SCoRE in L2 classes at Japanese junior high school.
