Laser Retina Imaging technology enables creation of a clear picture in active retina area of low vision individual, and so, in many cases, he (or she) can see it by his (or her) own eyesight. In this article we describe possible applications of this technology, including
1. Development of eyesightaid, an HMD on which this technology is implemented,
2. Creating an active area map of low vision individual precisely.
Lastly, we list up requirements for the eyesightaid, and show the result of our preliminary experiment as an example that it is possible to detect a pictogram (“Emergency Exit”) in the view by using pattern recognition programs (e.g., SURF method). |
