(in English) A Brillouin scattering technique for the simultaneous measurement of acoustic wave velocities and refractive indices is proposed. This nondestructive technique is attractive for the evaluation of the thin film materials. In this study, wave velocities in the thickness direction and ordinary refractive index were obtained by a combination of 90R and 180° (90R+180°) scattering geometries. We experimentally demonstrated the applicability of this technique to the measurement of c-axis oriented ScAlN films.
