Jungkyu Han, Hayato Yamana (Waseda Univ.) DE2015-9
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In addition to user’s preference, considering visit pattern is also important for location recommendation. Many previous studies studied external factors’ influences on visit pattern such as time and movement distance. However, internal factors like “Familiarity with area” should be considered to achieve improved accuracy. For instance, person tends to visit more preferable place than popular location when she is in familiar area. However, she will visit popular location in unfamiliar area. In this paper, we investigate relationship between familiarity and visit pattern with Location-based service data. And then study feasibility of location recommendation method utilizes the familiarity concept.
