The dumbbell-shape hollow cylinder coordinated by an appropriate shape can cause a flexural vibration only in its center portion, but no vibration displacement can exist at its both ends. Thus, the resonance frequency of the cylinder is less influenced by supporting at its both ends, but the resonance frequency changes by axial load. Such a feature enables to realize the axial load cell which is easily supported and fixed. The shape and sensitivity of the load cell were considered by the finite element analysis. It was clarified that the sensitivity of the cylinder with some slits to axial direction became higher. |
