Research and factor analysis on the effect of class form difference on student's satisfaction

(in English) Many kinds of class evaluation have been made, along with the compulsory faculty development activity in higher education institutions. In the class evaluation, it is important to obtain the information useful for the teaching improvement, and so the studies focused on the student’s satisfaction level have been performed. In this study, “student’s satisfaction level” is regarded as an indicator to estimate the value of education, that is, the class with high satisfaction level is regarded as a high-value class for students. We particularly focused on the difference in the forms of class and investigated the factors affecting the student’s satisfaction level, for each form of class. As a result, it was suggested that in the class with group discussion, students tend to be satisfied with the learning process itself rather than the acquisition of knowledge and skill and the feeling of accomplishment.
