Improvement of angular dependence of magnetophotonic crystal for magneto-optic three-dimensional display

(in English) We have developed a magneto-optic three-dimensional (3D) display using magnetophotonic crystals (MPCs). The MPC can increase brightness of reconstructed 3D images and reduce laser energy for thermomagnetic recording in localization wavelength. However, the MPC has angular dependence because of wavelength-selectivity. Therefore we designed MPC to reduce angular dependence of diffraction efficiency by changing thickness of dielectric layers. As a result, we improved angular dependence of MPC that light intensity difference was less than 3.15% when viewing-angle was less than ±15 degrees.
