(in English) We propose a novel method for extracting co-occurrence attributes for person
re-identification. We define co-occurrence attributes by combining a
plurality of single attributes，e.g. female wearing a red dress or long blonde hair. We aim to extract more informative features for person re-identification by using co-occurrence attributes compared with the ones by using only single attributes. The proposed method builds co-occurrence attribute classifiers in advance, infers signed distance of the attributes when acquiring person images, and computes features for person re-identification by using the signed distance weighted by a metric learning technique. We demonstrate improved performance of person re-identification by using co-occurrence attributes on a public database (VIPeR).
