Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Currently, easy and inexpensive distance and depth sensor, such as Kinect and Xtion has been released. We are building a system for performing walking support using the sensor. This system is, for the purpose of walking assistance of those who are visually impaired, to recognize the obstacle from the distance sensor, to inform the direction and obstacles to go by the notification sound from the bone conduction earphone.
In this study, ultimately have the goal of wearable device, here reported for the system using the Stick-PC palm-sized.
