Symbolisation of Scene Flow Field

(in English) An autonomous car is a typical example of autonomous robots.
For an autonomous robot, recognition of environment around it is an essential problem to decide the next action in the work space.
Three-dimensional geometric configuration in the work space provides information for the next action.
Usually, geometric configuration around robots temporally changes partially because of robot motion and motion of obstacles in the work space.
This paper proposes a method for symbolisation of temporal changes in work space using scene flow field for recognition of the event in the work space.
The proposed algorithm consists from 2-pathes to compute accurately scene flow field.
The algorithm next symbolises the motion field using directional statistics.
Our method extracts words of motion in front of the robots from images captured by a robot-mounted stereo camera system.
For numerical examples, we extract words of motion from KITTI scene flow Datasets 2015.
The results shows efficiency of the method for the extraction of events in front of the robot.
