Time-variant pole analysis for characterizing noise of switching power supplies

(in English) We are investigating methods of countermeasure against electric noise on telecommunication lines and on power lines. Switching power supplies are becoming used commonly these days, and the need of countermeasure against the switching noise from their DC/AC inverters is increasing. A model waveform which emulates the current waveform of their switching noise is required to test the immunity level of telecommunication equipment. However, the adequate model waveform for the test is still unclear. Therefore, we analyzed the current waveform of switching noise of a switching power supply to establish the model waveform for the test. For the purpose, we analyzed the current waveform of a switching power supply with our own method of transient signal analysis to extract the characteristics of the waveform. We found it possible to build a model waveform of the switching noise by using the extracted characteristics with our own method.
