Analysis of Discussion using Social Media with Function of Superimposing Learners' Comments on Lecture Video and Approach to System Requirements

(in English) When Learners learn a lesson content using lecture video on the Web, it is important to learn on collaborative learning environment by communications using their text comments. We developed the social media which have function with sharing learners’ comments. The system synchronizes time for the comment input with time for the video playback, and run through the comment from right side to left side on the video screen. We performed examination for working at open-ended challenge using the system. In the results, we have demonstrated that they didn’t conduct active discussion for small comments, because they have felt hesitation for sending comments. In this paper, we propose new system design to solve the problems.
