Constructing Multi-Class Classifiers by Combination of 2-Class Layered Neural Networks

(in English) Exhaustive code is one of the error correcting codes usable in
improving the accuracy of multi-class classifier by manipulating the
misclassifications.
When the subdigits of exhaustive code are chosen, conventionally, only
the Hamming distance between codewords were considered, regardless of the
performances of the 2-class classifiers that generate the digit of an
exhaustive code.
In this paper, we propose a new method for choosing
the subdigits of exhaustive code, by considering the accuracy of the
2-class classifiers and their expected outputs. In the experiments, we
confirmed that the accuracy of the multi-class classification using
the proposed methods give higher
performances when compared with the conventional method.
