The purpose of this study is to develop a surgical training simulator using haptic device handling multiple surgical instruments for sagittal split ramus osteotomy. Phased haptic guidance is performed in case of proximity or collision with tissues which should not be damaged. Moreover, additional visualization function, which allows oblique slice rendering including manipulated region, is implemented. |
