We achieve a millimeter-wave beam multiplexing system with inter-subarray coding, which has low power consumption and is capable of transmitting data streams to multiple users by beam multiplexing. Since the signal synchronization between subarrays is necessary to reduce the interferences between beams, we propose to detect and compensate the phase difference between subarrays. Therefore, the signal synchronization is guaranteed even subarrays are driven by multiple local oscillators. The experimental results show that phase compensation based on the phase difference detection mixer detecting the phase difference between subarrays is accurate enough to reduce the interferences between beams. |
