Study of Spike Current Issue at Input Voltage Zero-crossing of Totem-pole Bridgeless PFC Converter

(in English) Comparing with conventional PFC converter, the Totem-pole bridgeless PFC converter is able to achieve a better efficiency by removing the diode bridge to eliminate its conduction loss. However, the spike current occurs at every input voltage zero-crossing and causes severe common mode noise. In this paper, the noise spectrum of the spike current is calculated by Fourier series expansion. Finally, a noise reduction method is proposed based on the theoretical analysis, also the effectiveness of this method is verified by the experimental measurement.
