The study on inform and warn about residual risk to the user

(in English) The place which supplies materials is as a hazard area mostly. However much food processing machinery users require to manufacturers to be a structure that allows put raw materials in the machine without stopping. Therefore, in order to satisfy that user requirement, the manufacturer designs a special specification in which an opening that allows a user to get own hand into the hazard area is provided to the guard. For this opening, not only a complementary protective measures but also manufacturers use a product safety label for inform and warn the residual risk to the user. But, a product safety label used at this time cannot appropriately represent the residual risk level when manufactured according to the standard. As a result, a product safety label where the level of residual risk is not consistent with the evaluation of risk assessment is used not only in food machinery but also in many machines. This paper suggests the example of an improvement with clarifying the issue of the standard requirements for a product safety label.
