A Support Method for Recall of the Circumstances in Documenting Processes Using Scene-Snaps

(in English) Opportunity of complicated documenting through multiple works such as reading existing documents and Web exploration (e.g. survey, composition of documents and their elaboration in research activity) has been increasing. In such complicated documenting, it is important to manage skillfully the deliverables along with their editing processes and utilize them for later work. However, such management is generally difficult because of work lengthening and the diversity of information involved with it. In particular, there are often the circumstances that a user needs to refer the documents used in the process of the previous work. But, it is actually hard for a user to satisfactorily recall the work scene only by folder management or bookmarking. In this research, we focus on visual work scenes and aim at developing a support method for recalling documents used in the past works using screenshots as a trigger of recall. This paper initially describes a framework of our support methods. Then, we describe methods for extracting the screenshots promising for recall. Furthermore, we report the experiment on screenshots selection and discuss the features of our methods based on its results.
