Asymptotic Analysis of Normalized SNR-Based Scheduling in Uplink Cellular Networks

This report introduces the complimentary cumulative distribution function (ccdf) of SINR related to the normalized SNR-based scheduling in a Poisson uplink cellular network [1], where the locations of base stations (BSs) and users are modeled as two independent Poisson point processes. In particular, the randomness of locations of BSs and users are marginalized out using stochastic geometry techniques, which gives the analytical expression of SINR ccdf independent of the realization of locations of BSs and users. The uplink analysis is essentially different from the downlink analysis in the per-user transmit power control and maximum transmit power constraint, and that the interferers are composed of at most one transmitting user in each cell other than the target cell. This report derives the SINR ccdf relative to the typical scheduled user by focusing on two incompatible cases, related to the maximum power constraint of users. The analytical results are validated through the comparison with the Monte Carlo simulations. |
