Radar Cross Section Modeling of Car Dummy for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems

(in English) For a virtual assessment of the millimeter wave radar, we propose the millimeter wave reflection characteristic of the car dummy for the evaluation test of the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems such as collision avoidance system. Specifically, we analyze the three dimensional millimeter wave reflection characteristic of the car dummy. Then, we express the car dummy as the multiple reflection points using reflection characteristic. In experiments, with respect to the detection position and the received power of the radar, we show that the actual radar detection data and the virtual radar detection data are similar.
