Recent years, studies of automatic driving technology and ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) which supports driver's driving operation have been progressing. ADAS requires eyes and ears to capture road conditions, and millimeter-wave radars are often used as the eyes. Therefore it is conceivable that the car which is equipped with many millimeter-wave radars become popular. Along with an increase in the cars equipped with automatic driving and ADAS technologies, interferences between radars come into question. If the interferences between radars occur, SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) deteriorates, and the detection accuracy also deteriorates. In this paper, in the zero-padding method which removes the interferences by setting a threshold value for the time domain signals which exceed threshold value, we clarify the mechanism of detection errors. According to the clarified mechanism, a target detection threshold design guideline is studied by computer simulation assuming environment with a large number of interferences. |
