(in English) To enhance “presence” on video-mediated communication system, we here noticed eye contacts in communication and confirmed the importance and its contribution to the presence by subjective evaluation. Thus, we propose prototype system enabling both frontal shooting for eye contact and virtual image projection for enhancing reality of the displayed image. The prototype system uses holographic optical element that is capable of flexible optical design as an off-axis mirror and provide novel video-mediated communication experience.
